Hi! I'm Beth and to my side is my gorgeous fiancé, Taylah.
I created Yellow Wattle Pets in December 2022 to share my love of our beautiful native fauna and flora. Through Yellow Wattle Pets I bred and sold native leaf and stick insects and offered dog walking services. I also strived to provide exotic pet owners with reliable and knowledgeable pet-sitting services.
In April 2023 I extended our services to include hermit crab rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming services and founded our Hermit Crab rescue, Hermie Haven.
As of June 2024, Taylah and I have closed the Yellow Wattle Pets side of things to really focus our time, energy and resources on the hermit crabs and our rescue.
Beth
I adore working with and learning about animals hence, I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Biological Science, majoring in Zoology with a minor in Microbiology, and I work as an animal attendant at a dog and cat boarding facility. I have a great deal of experience in keeping a wide variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, invertebrates, amphibians, fish, crustaceans, and rodents. My hobbies include pet keeping, plant keeping and rock (crystal, fossils etc) collecting.

Hello, I'm Taylah! When I fell in love with Beth I knew she was a package deal, but in all seriousness, I've grown to really adore hermies and love giving these tiny guys a voice and a better chance at thriving. I'm currently studying a Bachelor in Psychological Science with Honours and working as 2IC at a liquor store. As much as I love my job, my dream is to be a psychiatrist. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, gaming with my kitty cat, Ivy and learning about brains and neuroscience.
